GENERAL MANAGER : Alfred (Rocky) Sides

Our team of transportation professionals is led by General Manager, Rocky Sides. Rocky has over 30 years of executive and entrepreneurial transportation and logistics experience. He has established and managed sales, brokerage, operations, safety and maintenance departments. He has extensive experience managing corporate transportation functions and warehouse operations.

Rocky grew up in the trucking industry working every aspect of transportation from dock work to top level management. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Cincinnati.

OPERATIONS MANAGER : Reginald (Reggie) Steele

After graduating from culinary arts school and spending several years working as a Sous Chef, Reginald was ready for a career change. In 1997, Reginald enrolled at Tristate Truck Driving School in Middletown, OH. Since graduating he has been involved in the transportation of various kinds of freight, ranging from steel coils on a flat bed trailer to hauling Jet Fuel.

Prior to joining L.A. Scott Trucking, Reginald was an owner operator for Advantage Tank Lines, Werner Transportation and JDC Logistics. Reginald brings first-hand knowledge of the transportation industry to L.A. Scott Trucking. This experience has served him well as the Operations Manager. He is responsible for the day to day operations of the company, including dispatch, driver welfare, the garage, and maintenance of our fleet.

SAFETY AND SUSATINABILITY ADMINISTRATOR : Scott Lowery

Scott graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Technology from Norfolk State University. He spent the proceeding 14 years as a Network Engineer with AT&T. Scott transitioned to the transportation industry joining L.A. Scott Trucking. He was responsible for building the L.A. Scott Trucking technology platform including its LAN/WAN. This cutting edge network provides functionality for their data/voice communications at their corporate headquarters, operations center, garage and over the road network. Scott is responsible for supporting the company’s GPS and Nextel “Direct Connect “ two Way communication. This provides 24/7 contact to L.A. Scott Trucking’s fleet of vehicles as well as vehicle location.

In February of 2009, Scott assumed the position of “Safety Administrator” and is responsible for building and maintaining L.A. Scott Trucking’s safety, administrative, and training programs. He ensures that the company operates safely and efficiently, meeting all DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, etc. regulatory requirements and standards. He is also the KANU portfolio companies “Green and Sustainability Enterprise Liason”, with responsibility for ensuring that the KANU corporate, business and social activities adequately address current environmental concerns while maintaining profitability.

FINANCIAL OFFICER: Dana Sanders

Dana Sanders is the Financial Officer for the KANU portfolio companies. A Cum Laude graduate of Southern Ohio College with an Associate of Applied Business Technology degree, she has over 15 years of Administrative experience.

Dana manages all the companies accounting and financial functions.

Shane

After graduating from high school, Shane became a solider in the United States Army. While serving his country he learned the craft of repairing heavy duty trucks and trailers. He specialized in brake systems and engine diagnostics. After joining L.A. Scott Trucking, Shane’s primary responsibility is performing the preventive maintenance on our fleet of trucks.

MECHANIC : Joe Leech

Joe has grown up around trucks and has been involved in their maintenance and repair for as long as he can remember. His father owned several tractors and trailers and gave Joe his start as a mechanic. After moving on to continue his education as a mechanic, Joe obtained multiple certifications including DuroMax Diesel, Allison Transmission, A/C, and diagnostic tools. He joined the L.A. Scott Trucking family after 10 years working in various facilities and is now a key contributor to keeping our fleet of trucks on the road and environmentally efficient.
